14 Μαΐ 2024 · SUMMARY. Terminology – Somatic symptom disorder is characterized by one or more somatic symptoms that are accompanied by excessive thoughts, feelings, and/or behaviors related to the somatic symptoms. In addition, the symptoms cause significant distress and/or dysfunction.
