24 Οκτ 2024 · Southern Baptist Convention (SBC), the largest Baptist group in the United States, organized at Augusta, Georgia, in 1845 by Southern Baptists who disagreed with the antislavery attitudes and activities of Northern Baptists.
The Southern Baptist Convention (SBC), alternatively the Great Commission Baptists (GCB), is a Christian denomination based in the United States. It is the world's largest Baptist organization, the largest Protestant, and the second-largest Christian body in the United States.
In 1954, the Southern Baptist Convention began to record the annual sessions of the Convention meetings. The Radio and Television Commission was responsible for the recordings. From 1954-1974, the proceedings were audio recordings and recorded on reel-to-reel tape.
