5 Νοε 2016 · Span America Boat Co. Fort Dodge, Iowa. History Thanks to Lee Wangstead. The Span America Boat Co. was founded by Oral and Willard Musick, former owners of Glass Craft Boats. To fulfill an order for Montgomery Wards' Sea King Boats, the company once partnered with the Fort Dodge Boat Company.
Span America Boat Co. and Fort Dodge Boat Co. (both located at Fort Dodge, Iowa - side by side actually) combined forces to make boats for Montgomery Ward for a short time period. The boats were badged as Montgomery Ward's SEA KING brand.
Span America Boat Co. was formed in late 1957 at Fort Dodge, Iowa and incorporated on 15 March 1958. Founders were brothers Oral and Willard Musick, Don and Bob Shafar, Bill and Bob Wafful, and James Tucker.

This is an incredible FULLY restored 1960 Span America Skiette 16' Classic Boat. It has a fully restored 1978 Johnson 70hp Outboard motor that provides well enough power to move along at a nice cruising speed on the lake. This fiberglass boat was meticulously restored from the hull and transom.
12 Μαΐ 2009 · It sounds like what you have is a boat made by a company called Span America. They were around during the late 50's and early 60's. Unfortunately we sold ours a few years ago.
