The SPAS-12 (Special Purpose Automatic Shotgun, later changed to Sporting Purpose Automatic Shotgun) is a variable semi-automatic (gas-actuated) or pump-action combat shotgun manufactured by Luigi Franchi S.p.A. in Italy. It is chambered for 12 gauge 2 3⁄4 inch shells.
