As the largest animal shelter in Baltimore, it has been in operation for over 100 years and is a member of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). The Maryland SPCA offers adoption services, volunteer opportunities, and accepts donations.
In 1948, we open our quarters for cats—complete with cat exercise runs and a special post for claw sharpening—and celebrate with a Society circus, featuring performing dogs, cats, monkeys and goats. Private boarding space is available for 47 dogs and 12 cats.
Life-saving knowledge and resources for all your pets' needs.
Cat boarding facility near Towson, Timonium, Cockeysville, and Hunt Valley in Baltimore County, Maryland. With single and multiple cat units, playroom, and outdoor catios, we provide excellent care for your feline friends.
150 years ago, the Maryland SPCA was founded on a simple notion: every animal deserves to be treated with compassion and care. Come visit the shelter, see the animals available for adoption, and meet with one of our adoption counselors. Our adoption center is open seven days a week. Adopters must be 18 years of age or older.
