25 Μαΐ 2022 · In 2021, Springfield City Utilities started a rebate program for electric vehicle chargers added to new houses. A home buyer can get a rebate of up to $100 per outlet when contractors and/or electricians wire a new garage to include electric vehicle charging outlets.
To be eligible for the program, Ohioans must also have 12 months of electric usage at their current address, have an annual electric baseload usage of at least 5,000 kWh, and live in the service territory of American Electric Power, Duke Energy, Dayton Power and Light, or FirstEnergy.
