11 Σεπ 2013 · I had the same problem and the easiest solution I came through was to remove openssh and install it again. yum remove openssh and then: yum install openssh openssh-server openssh-clients then you can start sshd service: service sshd start

open the file of ssh config: sudo nano /etc/ssh/ssh_config find the port. #port 22 uncomment (remove the #) the port option. then save the file by ctrl + x and restart your service. sudo service sshd restart
27 Μαρ 2019 · You need to update the new port no in /etc/services files as well, example: ssh 22/tcp # The Secure Shell (SSH) Protocol ssh 22/udp # The Secure Shell (SSH) Protocol. Also check SELinux, as you need to specify the non standard port using semanage tool.
