The mission of the St. Albans Historical Society is to ignite and foster a renewed passion among the public for our rich historical heritage. We aim to remind and inspire successive generations to embrace a deeper sense of patriotism and strive for greater achievements by celebrating the heroic accomplishments of our ancestors.
The St. Albans Historical Society was founded in 1972 initially to move and preserve the 1846 log Morgan's Kitchen Museum to St. Albans. This tour takes residents and visitors to Saint Albans to many different historical landmarks including the Ravenswood House, the Chesapeake and Ohio Depot, and the Chuck Yeager Memorial Rocket. The tour also includes several historical markers, cemeteries, and historic homes and buildings.
