Officially established in 1905, the first reference to veterinary medicine at Kansas State was in 1862. Starting in 1886, students enrolled in agriculture were offered animal health courses but not for any type of veterinary degree credit.
The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Missouri is a school of veterinary medicine in Columbia, Missouri. It is one of only 30 veterinary colleges in the United States accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association and only one in Missouri. [2]

The University of Missouri veterinary medical complex is made up of five buildings on the southeast corner of the Columbia MU campus: Connaway Hall, the Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory, the Veterinary Medicine Building, the Veterinary Health Center (Clydesdale Hall), and the Veterinary Medical Science Building.
