6 Ιαν 2008 · Reliability of the Firestar .45 was never a problem; they work very well indeed. Durability of the slide on some of the early production was a problem, however, as some were imperfectly cast, and had "cold-spots" in the casting where cracks would develop with use.
The M45 is the .45 caliber version of the Firestar series. It is similar in most respects to the M3 and M40 pistols, but is slightly larger in all dimensions to accomodate the larger cartridge. Few or no parts are interchangable between the M45 and M43/M40 frame sizes.
6 Σεπ 2017 · The M45 Firestar is an outstanding little tank of a pistol and I trust that it will bring you as much shooting pleasure as mine has brought to me. Not to be argumentative, but I don't believe that the demise of Star Firearms had anything to do with any 'leftist' issues.
