Effective July 1, 2021, Indiana has eliminated work permits* completely, and now requires all employers with five or more minor employees (under age 18) to begin using the Indiana Department of Labor’s Youth Employment System (YES) to track and report minor-employee information.

24 Αυγ 2023 · Right-to-Work Laws in Indiana. Under Indiana labor laws, which fall under the broader scope of Indiana law, the state is a right-to-work state. This means that employees cannot be forced to join a union or pay union dues as a condition of employment.
Vacation Leave. In the state of Indiana, there is no statutory requirement for private employers to provide employees with either paid or unpaid vacation leave. The provision of vacation leave in Indiana is entirely at the discretion of the employer.
