If you redeem the code then the scammer can provide that code to Steam support, as well as proof of purchase, and gain access to your account.
14 Ιουλ 2013 · when you are logged into your account your account name appears in the upper right corner (client and website in browser). the money in your steam wallet appears left to it. as long as you have more funds in your wallet than what you need to pay your credit card isnt required
16 Απρ 2016 · There is no way to check the balance of a wallet code, short of redeeming it to your account. If you have a physical wallet card, the balance should be printed on the front of the card, assuming it hasn't been redeemed already.
