Sting joins the Wolfpack Nitro - June 1st, 1998
5 Σεπ 2017 · Sting. In April of 1988, Sting was cemented as a main event caliber talent after his forty-five-minute draw world title match against Ric Flair on the very first Clash of the Champions. Over the next eight years, Sting would win and lose the NWA/WCW World Heavyweight Championship on several occasions.

The two nWo factions vied for Sting's allegiance, with Sting's friends The Giant joining nWo Hollywood and Luger joining nWo Wolfpac. Sting seemed to have joined nWo Hollywood when he appeared wearing a black and white nWo shirt, but he soon tore off the shirt to reveal the red and black of the nWo Wolfpac.
Everything had fallen into chaos, and nobody could be trusted, so Sting isolated himself and became this brooding watchdog of WCW, dead-set on eliminating the NWO, and restoring WCW. Then out of nowhere, he's "running with the 'Pac", too-sweeting guys, screaming "OOOOWWWW!"
1998: Sting was actually a good fit for the nWo Wolfpac led by Kevin Nash. His Wolfpac run was a means to stay relevant while he needed a break from the main event scene and eventually left the group after his match vs Bret at Halloween Havoc ‘98 to take a hiatus for personal reasons.
