8 Ιουλ 2020 · I am not sure why anyone would buy a Stone Ridge fund at all. They have continuously failed to achieve the advertised objectives while charging enormous fees. Same for AQR.
27 Νοε 2019 · They talked me into using "alternative" investments and put me into several funds including the Reinsurance Fund (SRRIX) and Lending Fund (LENDX). They talked up 6-8% returns/year. Well, obviously these funds have underperformed, really drastically so (-12%) so I have opted to sell.
Lesson learned. I looked at my email and the documents I signed were "Insurance Applications"... so I really don;t think anything was set in stone yet. I did call my bank- they can only refuse transactions for a $28 fee and I have to know the exact amount.
Stone Ridge Asset Management offers its investment advisory services to private and registered funds, meaning it doesn't advise individuals on their portfolios. The New York-based firm is known for quota share reinsurance investing.
27 Νοε 2019 · Stone RIdge is very explicit that they view their funds as being risky. That is what made me question the opinions promulgated here because what Stone Ridge was saying about them was quite different from what was being said about them by some posters here.
