You should be able to start with stretches within 1 - 2 weeks after surgery. Stretches and gentle movement help prevent blood clots and help the muscles loosen up. They are arranged in order of easy to more difficult and it may take you a few days or a few weeks to be able to do all of them. REPEAT 3 TIMES THEN SWITCH TO THE OTHER LEG.
