3 Απρ 2023 · One clear example of a sundown town can be found 30 miles north of Columbus in Marion, Ohio. The town had a Black population for decades. It was known as a stop on the Underground Railroad. However, in 1919 racial violence erupted and approximately 200 Black residents were driven out of the area.
