Sars-CoV-2 vaccine-related chilblain-like lesions are painful and have itching violaceous nodules in acral sites (toes and hands) resembling pernio and COVID toe. Chilblain-like lesions can develop in 4–12 days after the first dose of mRNA or inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccines (CoronaVac by Sinovac Life Sciences) [ 6 , 19 , 23 , 39 , 40 , 41 ].

In this review article, we provide a brief overview on cutaneous findings that have been observed since the emerging mass COVID-19 vaccination campaigns all over the world. Unspecific injection-site reactions very early occurring after the vaccination are most frequent.

17 Νοε 2021 · As of August 16, 2021, the American Academy of Dermatology/International League of Dermatological Societies registry included 2063 cutaneous vaccine reactions from 870 patients. We identified 24 reactions after AZD1222 vaccination, most commonly local erythema and pain.
Immediate injection site reactions are common following immunizations, but a delayed local reaction appears to be a phenomenon associated with the mRNA-1273 vaccine.
