Using the built-in motion sensors of a mobile device to assess stability and reaction time, Sway enables health care professionals to objectively assess a patient's fall risk, track recovery from an injury, and detect instability from medication changes.
3 Απρ 2019 · The two tests Sway uses to help assess potential concussions are balance and reaction time, which studies have shown are critical in the return to play decision-making process. Sway provides this data using the technology already available in every mobile device.
When an injury is indicated in the app, users are asked to identify the type of injury, with choices that include “Suspected Concussion”, “Clinically Diagnosed Concussion”, “Not Specified”, “Lower Extremity Injury”, and “Fall”.
Using the built-in motion sensors of any iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch* device, health professionals can administer a medical grade objective balance test in virtually and setting. Sway Balance measures stability using the built in motion sensors of any iOS mobile device to quantify postural sway.
