This training course is intended for personnel who may be required to carry out rescues in a swiftwater and flood environment, including emergency services personnel and mountain rescue teams. Contact hours. 24 hours (4 days) Prerequisites: Must be a confident swimmer. Minimum age: 18. Course content includes. Rescue 3 philosophy.
The SRT course provides rescuers with the fundamentals of survival in moving water and is recommended for anyone who may be called upon to effect in-water rescues. Students gain knowledge in hydrology and river classifications, size-up, site control and scene management.
We offer 4 levels of swiftwater and floodwater rescue training. All of our training is NFPA compliant, NRRI/DHS approved and NPS compliant. You must start at level 1 or show an equivalent certification or course completion certificate.

Swiftwater Rescue Technician trains first responders team leadership skills and technical training regarding swiftwater rescue operations. This course meets and exceeds NFPA Standards 1006 (2021) and 2500 (2022) for technician-level requirements.
