23 Οκτ 2021 · There is only a month to go until the opening of 2021 ITTF World Table Tennis Championships Finals which will be held in Houston, Texas, set to become the first American city to host this event. “We are delighted to bring our sport, Table Tennis, to a new continent,” said ITTF Group CEO Steve Dainton.
Memorial Park Golf Course is known as one of the best municipal courses in the nation and is visited by more than 60,000 patrons each year. The course originally began as a 9-hole course with sand greens, built near the hospital at Camp Logan for use by convalescent soldiers (1912).
Memorial Park Golf Course. About the Course. In 2019, the Astros Golf Foundation pledged to refurbish Memorial Park Golf Course to make it a world-class playing field for all Houstonians. With the renovations, the Astros Golf Foundation ushered in the return of the PGA TOUR's Houston Open to Memorial Park for the first time since 1963.
Memorial Park hosted the Houston Open on the PGA Tour fourteen times (1947, 1951–63), and was renovated in 1995 at the cost of $7 million. The course will host the tournament again in the 2021 season (October 2020).
