Using task cards in the IBPYP classroom enables implicit use of those all important Approaches to Learning Skills. This blog suggests 8 different strategies to develop skills through task cards.
Each card generally has one question or task which helps students focus on one thing at a time. Task cards tend to be very specific, addressing a certain skill or standard, which makes it easy to match the activity to your lesson objectives.
You can differentiate by using different sets of task cards with different sets of students, differentiating the skill levels or the skills themselves by using different sets of task cards, using task cards as a formative assessment to be able to accurately differentiate your reading or math groups, etc.

(From the beginning of the year to the end) What skills do your students have the most difficulty in especially in the subjects of Grammar, Reading, and Math?
