These tuning boxes from TDI Tuning contain a cpu and store programs and act like piggyback ECU's. They offer an extensive tuning boost. Don't confuse these with the simpler non microprocessor boxes you buy on popular auction sites.
25 Αυγ 1999 · I chose a TuningBox rather than a chip conversion because it is easier to remove to a new vehicle and was cheaper. It is also a very keenly priced, and I considered offered better value for money. It was easy to install - 2 plugs and turbo boost sensor - 15 - 30 mins and no adjustments.

There are / were legitimate tuning boxes for TDI. Many piggyback tuners will either interpret CAN signals or analog values. On the old 90hp ALH TDI I ran a fuel and boost tuning box in combination with fuel and exhaust mods and had dyno results over 150whp / 300wtq
