If your certificate expired or you hold a Retired Educator certificate, you must renew your professional certificate before returning to the classroom. Apply for renewal through your MyPSC Account if you have met renewal requirements. BACK!! certification status. If you hold a valid professional certificate, you are ready. requirements.
If you are considering returning to teaching, but your professional certification has lapsed, you have many options to renew your certificate on your own. Georgia employers may also request non-renewable certification to allow you to work while completing renewal requirements.

Educators registered for a TeachGeorgia account can complete and save an online resume; and search for and apply for positions through the website. Non-registered educators and others have access to the search menus, but must register to apply for positions through TeachGeorgia.
Your professional license or certification may have to be renewed regularly. You can check to see if someone has a professional license by visiting the Secretary of State's website. Many professions require a license or certification, along with regular renewals, to work in Georgia.
