9 Ιαν 2019 · With its classic, minimal design, and sky-high reputation amongst enthusiasts, the new SL-1200 MK7 is sure to get a lot of attention. So, what's new? And is it worth the hype?
18 Ιουλ 2019 · Is there an embargo on reviews for the Mk7? It’s been out for a few weeks and I can’t find any authoritative comment, only unboxing videos or quick reviews when it came out in January. Weird
13 Αυγ 2021 · The MK7 was pretty much spot on, all the low frequencies coming over tight and unexaggerated, with crisp high frequencies and no obvious distortions. For stereo imaging and overall frequency placement, the Harold Land Quintet on Chess Cadet records was my choice for reference.
12 Ιαν 2019 · #1. https://www.whathifi.com/reviews/technics-sl-1200sl-1210-mk7. The Technics SL-1200 is back. Again. I just caught wind of this the other day as well.
25 Οκτ 2021 · Central to the MK7’s operation is a new coreless direct drive motor intended to iron out vibration kinks caused by a minor clogging issue on previous models. Technics has also added a microcomputer to cater for pro-DJ styles like scratching, as well as improve the overall performance.
21 Μαρ 2021 · The MK7 has a really fine tonearm for a sub-$1000 turntable, free of any obvious friction, with perfectly adjusted bearings, and the aura of a genuine instrument. I should also mention that other critical component, the drive system, performed flawlessly and spun at exactly the right speeds.
My SL1200 MK4's solve the only criticism I've seen of the SL1200 series; the lack of a 78 speed. Get an SL1200 MK4, an Ortofon Concorde cartridge and appropriate stylus's and you're set for anything pressed on Vinyl, styrene or shellac. The only and LAST turntable you'll ever need.
