15 Σεπ 2019 · Just curious, has anyone bought the MK7? They are going for $1000. That's the same price I bought my new MK2 from B&H in late 2009 / early 2010, shortly after Panasonic/ Technics ended production. I currently run a VPI Scout 1.1 but I like the ease of use of the SL-1200 MK2.
13 Αυγ 2021 · The MK7 was pretty much spot on, all the low frequencies coming over tight and unexaggerated, with crisp high frequencies and no obvious distortions. For stereo imaging and overall frequency placement, the Harold Land Quintet on Chess Cadet records was my choice for reference.
21 Μαρ 2021 · The MK7 has a really fine tonearm for a sub-$1000 turntable, free of any obvious friction, with perfectly adjusted bearings, and the aura of a genuine instrument. I should also mention that other critical component, the drive system, performed flawlessly and spun at exactly the right speeds.
