This is a popular trail for off-road driving, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime.

Offering 40 miles of trails, Upper Tellico’s 8,000 acres are known for great fourwheeling. The Tellico River crosses this high elevation basin’s rugged, steep terrain. Most trails are open to all types of off-highway vehicles; one trail is restricted to all-terrain vehicles only.
With the black hills of Big Bend to the east, travelers' decision to take the route are rewarded with some spectacular views of the black hills as well as a few short sections of slightly off-camber ledge road.
