24 Φεβ 2009 · This 5.8-mile dirt road runs across the park from North Carolina to Tennessee. Riders are encouraged to keep speeds below 20 mph here as there are many sections with steep cliffs. While camping is not permitted within the OHV area, several campgrounds are located nearby.
Offering 40 miles of trails, Upper Tellico’s 8,000 acres are known for great fourwheeling. The Tellico River crosses this high elevation basin’s rugged, steep terrain. Most trails are open to all types of off-highway vehicles; one trail is restricted to all-terrain vehicles only.

30 Ιαν 2009 · The Tellico Off-Road Vehicle Area in North Carolina’s Nantahala National Forest has over 40 miles of off-highway vehicle (OHV) trails—twice as many as are legally allowed by the U.S Forest Service.
19 Οκτ 2024 · The Upper Tellico ORV Area is famous for some of the best 4x4 trail riding in all of America. Names like Guardrail, Helicopter Pad, Slick Rock and School Bus all conjure up visions of rock piles, steep hills and off camber ascents to challenge offroaders of all experience levels.
17 Οκτ 2014 · If you are doing the loop clockwise from Thunder rock campground you pass near Conasauga Lake and are FR17. I go off my map for a little bit, so going off memory, I think you stay on 17 until you come to a T at the bottom of the hill, there is a little kiosk and Forest Service building almost directly across from the T.
