29 Αυγ 2021 · FLORENCE S.C. (WPDE) — As of Aug. 15, gun permit holders are able to openly carry their handguns in South Carolina. Chuck McLendon spent more than 25 years in law enforcement and is now a firearms instructor at South Carolina Concealed Weapons Training Center.
The classroom portion covers topics such as, basic firearms safety, proper shooting and carry techniques, in addition to SC CWP laws and the use of force. Completing a written test is required. Students break for lunch and meet at our local outdoor range for hands on shooting and qualification.
