The VLB Veterans Land Loan Program is the only one of its kind in the nation, giving Texas Veterans and Military Members the opportunity to borrow up to $150,000 to purchase land at competitive interest rates while typically requiring a minimum five percent down payment for tracts of one acre or more.
Benefits you have earned as a Texas Veteran or Military Member: In 1946 the Texas Veterans Land Board (VLB) was established to administer benefits exclusively for Texas Veterans. Since then, the VLB has funded more than 200,000 loans for Veterans and Military Members in Texas.

LAND FOR SALE - VETERANS. A Veteran or Military Member whose bid is accepted may apply for a VLB Land Loan at a 7.25% interest rate, with a 30-year term and minimum 5% down payment. The VLB will only finance up to 95% of the minimum bid or $150,000 whichever is less.
