This iconic 7,000 square foot Boulders Lodge on beautiful Lake Waramaug is a one-of-a-kind property steeped in American history. Built 1895 by Ehrick Rossiter in the Adirondack post-and-beam style, its original owner was Nelson Mead and the residence is featured in Warren, Connecticut’s historical society ledgers.
It is a historic 42 acre lakefront estate that enjoys glorious sunset views in every season over beautiful Lake Waramaug. The Inn’s main lodge, which was designed and built by the famous architect Eric Rossiter in 1898, is surrounded by private and charming cabins and carriage house suites.
Boulders Inn Bed and Breakfast, New Preston, Connecticut - New England accommodations on the shore of Lake Waramaug, featuring 17 guest rooms in the inn and guest houses, hiking trails, and beach-front. Available for weddings, conferences and retreats.

In 1895 Nelson Mead built a cottage with a view of Lake Waramaug on 1000 acres which stretched from June Road to Tanner Hill. In 1901 the house was remodeled and a porch added.
27 Φεβ 2002 · WASHINGTON-Guests of the Boulders Inn on Lake Waramaug may soon be able to enjoy outdoor dining, luxury suites and even spa treatments at the historic inn. Those are among the changes planned by the new owners, Steven Goldstone and executive director Martin O'Brien, who purchased the Boulders in a $4.3 million sale made final last week.
