Children cannot book a holiday or a flight until they are 18 years of age. Many carriers will not allow children under 16 years of age to travel unaccompanied – contact your carrier to check what its policy is. A child under 18 years of age must have their own passport to travel.
You have the right to assistance, free of charge. This can include: Help with your luggage; Getting on and off the plane; During the flight; In airports before and after your flight; You should contact your airline at least 48 hours before your trip and explain what assistance you need.
At a very minimum, you’ll need to check with the Embassy of the country you intend to visit whether the children you’re travelling with will be allowed to enter and exit the country if they don’t have their own passports.
