I'm going to update my laptop that runs Windows 7 to Windows 10 soon. I've heard Sims 2 doesn't work very well with Windows 10. Will I need some extra fixes in order to play? Do I have to reinstall the game or is it fine to continue using the version I already have?
The only way of getting it legally on windows would be to try and find second hand discs on ebay or something, but there are a lot of scammers, and even if you find a legit copy, there's no guarantee it would even work - the discs tend to have issues that make them difficult to install on windows 10.

17 Αυγ 2021 · Firstly, you’ll need to locate The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection in your Origin Game Library. Once you have found it, click on the game box art and then hit download. You’ll then be presented with a series of pop-up boxes.
I was able to get the sims 2 free ultimate collection through the ea customer service chat. I had to switch my country to New Zealand before I found an agent willing to help. I had to send a pic of a sims 2 disc with a note with the current date on it. They will download it to your origin account. This was in 2017.
