I am really disappointed with my experience of the Young Vic. I decided to give them a third chance without success: I booked with them previously (September 2022) and hated the experience as the view was awful and I just didn't like the theatre.

The box office is actually on the site of the Wilson Brothers butcher shop. Sadly, during the Blitz in April 1941, a bomb killed 54 people who were sheltering from the raid in a bakery shop near to the butcher. The Young Vic theatre company was started in 1946 as a sister project to the Old Vic.

Based on Budd Schulberg’s screenplay and film of the same name, A FACE IN THE CROWD here with music and lyrics by Elvis Costello and a book by Sarah Ruhl, is Kwame Kwei-Armah ’s swan song as Artistic Director at the Young Vic - the post he has held since 2018.
