You can use the Theban font below to generate your ciphered text. The following tool will convert your text into graphics using theban font. Simply enter your text, select a color and text effect, and hit GENERATE button. You can then save the image, or use the EMBED button to get image links.
Because we today know many of the sounds of the runes we can therefore read words that are the same, but "spelled" differently. In this translator I've made it translated letter for letter as it is the easiest way for a modern human to translate it, but it does work best using Old Norse.
The Theban alphabet is used as an alternative to the Latin alphabet. It was used by early modern occultists and is popular with the Wicca movement. It is also known as the 'Witch's Alphabet'. It is used by witches to write spells, inscriptions and other texts.

A symbol cipher can be recognized if the text contains (non-alphabetical) symbols that appear to have a structure similar to English (words, sentences, etc.). There is no (yet) system capable of recognizing the language used based on the symbols of an encryption.
