The reason the big walleyes are here are because of the shad that are gathering near warm water outtakes along the river, there are plenty of them, and the walleyes should be biting. We have lots of action, landing some beautiful walleyes, which we were expecting.
We didn’t catch any trophies, but that’s not always what fishing is about. Just getting out on the water, and enjoying the day was reason enough to say that we had a successful fishing day. Episode #44, 2024: Northwoods Fishing in the Fall - PREVIEW - YouTube.
