Mentorship in nursing is a therapeutic relationship that exists between experienced nurses and less experienced nurses to help them gain more knowledge or experience in the profession.
Definition of a Mentor: A skilled and knowledgeable expert who has expressed an interest and is committed to a formal supportive relationship with a faculty member, which will enhance the professional growth and development of that individual.
