The Trezona Trail is four mile trail in Ely, Minnesota that loops around Miners Lake, which was an iron ore mining pit. The trailhead is located two blocks north of Sheridan Street just off North Central Avenue.
This is a great XC ski trail, if you don't like big hills. The trail is a 3.65 mile loop around a lake formed following iron ore mining. There are signs explaining some of the history of the area. I would think that during the warmer months, this would be a great gentle trail for a family walk or bike ride.
