There is an exhibit of 36 large canvas panels of images of Trina’s artwork from the book, as well as an installation of over 60 handmade paper butterflies “flying” in the central clerestory space in the Oratory.
Hope for the Flowers is an allegorical novel by Trina Paulus. It was first published in 1972 and reflects the idealism of the counterculture of the period.
Trina Paulus is celebrating the 50th Anniversary of her best selling parable Hope for the Flowers. In 1972 it won the Christopher Award for the most inspiring book of the year. It has sold over 4 million copies in English and millions of other copies translated in many languages.
