10 Απρ 2022 · Running an Archer C7 v5, r48567. I've got the 5GHz band set to transmit at channel 100+106 (VHT80) and set the TX Power to 30 dBm. However it is not going past 24 dBm. Regulatory domain is Canada. Why is that?

18 Απρ 2020 · One of the discrepancies which I can see on a Netgear R7800 running dd-wrt and one running OpenWRT is the TX power on 5GHz (VHT160 @ channel 100). The DD-WRT will claim 30dBm while OpenWRT claims 26dBm.

11 Αυγ 2022 · Yes. You’re good. It’s likely at most 100mW of radiation that is non-ionizing. If it were, say 8 watts, I’d be more worried. But the maximum transmission power is the US is capped at 1000mW which I don’t think is likely for a TP-Link device even if you’re running DDWRT
26 Μαρ 2020 · Blasting max radio power is not the way to get the best performance out of your network. Sometimes less is more. Tweaking other settings, like channel and channel width, will give better results. I’d leave tx power on auto while you get everything else sorted.
26 Μαρ 2020 · When I first installed DDWRT (Default 71 TX) I was getting speeds of 25-60Mbps right in front of my AP. Not until I messed around with the TX, did it improve. Seeing a range between 1 - 1000mW it’s very tempting to put it as close as possible to 1000mW, or at least closer than 300mW.
