Waiver & Reinstatement Forms. Students are automatically enrolled in CampusCare and assessed the CampusCare fee on their tuition account along with mandatory fees. Students have the option of waiving CampusCare by showing proof of current insurance prior to the deadline date for the semester.
If you wish to waive the school insurance you must complete an online waiver through URSA each year. Completing the waiver in the fall will also waive the insurance for spring semester. If you wish to re-enroll in the insurance, contact nicky.weglin@unco.edu for further instructions.
Domestic students have the option to waive out of the UNC insurance plan by completing the online insurance waiver showing proof of other health insurance coverage prior to the deadline, which is always the 10th day of classes each semester.
To be eligible to waive participation in the UNC-sponsored health insurance plan, UNC’s Board of Trustees, generally speaking, allows for U.S.-based equivalent insurance coverage as a basis for waiver.
Students have an opportunity to waive out of the program, reinstate benefits, enroll/drop dependents by submitting the appropriate online forms before the Enrollment Period Deadline Date at the beginning of each semester. https://campuscare.uic.edu/

Only students with comparable health insurance coverage, for example through a legal guardian or an employer, can waive out of the program by submitting the online waiver form by 11:59 p.m. CST on Monday, May 27, 2024. Students who have applied or registered after May 27 should contact the Summer Session Office for assistance.
