International Student Request for Academic Advisor Letter. Used by LSA International Students to request a letter for a Reduced Course Load (RCL) for Completion of Course of Study or a Post-Completion Optional Practical Training (OPT).
To request a letter or form as a CS-Eng, CS-LSA, or DS-Eng student, please click the button below. Once a request is submitted, it typically takes our office 2-3 business days to return your letter/form to you via email. Please note that it can take a bit longer during registration season.

The Newnan LSA Academic Advising Center offers pre-law advising appointments for students and alumni of all schools and colleges (Ross, Engineering, Ford, Kinesiology, etc.) at U-M who are considering and applying to law school.
The International Institute has full-time undergraduate academic advisors. Students are welcome to schedule an appointment with an II advisor through the online appointment system. Advising appointments are available in the following formats: in-person, virtual, or by phone.
Advising questions may be sent to dsi-studentservices@umich.edu. All advising will be conducted virtually via Zoom videoconferencing. A meeting link will be provided upon registration of an appointment. Appointments can be booked here.
