16 Ιουν 2016 · Adam 12’s primary focus was the real day-to-day work of uniformed street cops—not the typical TV cop show portrayal, where carnage on the streets of LA is a daily occurrence. Much of the show depicted routine police procedure rather than shootouts.
Vehicles. The police cars used in the series were central to the show; Webb "wanted the vehicle itself to be considered a character". [4] . As patrol officers, Malloy and Reed spent most of their time in their cruiser, and scenes set in or relating to their cruiser were central to the series.

There is a third-season episode in which Malloy and Reed chase a stolen police car. When it runs out of gas, they discover it was taken by a kid who had just signed up to work at the police department's auto maintenance shop. When he recognizes their car, he says "Yeah, that's 1-Adam-12".
