Blackboard is UND's Learning Management System connecting students, faculty and staff both inside and outside of the classroom. It is used for courses, organizations, committees, departments and groups. There are now two course environment options - Original course view and Ultra course view.

Blackboard Ultra Features & Transition Timeline. Blackboard Learn, UND’s learning management system, has made significant improvements in functionality over the past several years. One of those improvements has been the addition of the Ultra course view.

Blackboard Ultra is a new, modern, and easy-to-use interface of Blackboard. Instructor requests may be submitted here to convert an existing semester-based course or receive an under-development or “sandbox” Blackboard site to begin developing in the Ultra experience.
Blackboard’s landing page and the colors/themes within courses will have an updated look starting January 4, 2022 with the transition to Blackboard Ultra Base Navigation.
