The rankings feature three new indicators: Sustainability, Employment Outcomes and International Research Network, where UNSW performs exceptionally well.

In the 2021 Student Experience Survey, the University of New South Wales recorded the lowest student satisfaction rating out of all New South Wales universities, and the second lowest nationwide behind the University of Melbourne, with an overall satisfaction rating of 66.9, which was lower than the overall national average of 73.
