Upper Beaver Falls. Columbia County, Oregon. Detailed Info. Though not nearly as significant or scenic as nearby Beaver Falls, this upper fall along Beaver Creek is noteworthy and much more accessible. The falls cascade 11 feet down a small exposure of well formed columnar basalt, with a 4-foot sliding cascade located just upstream.

Before or after your hike, you might want to stop at Upper Beaver Falls, as well. It can be seen from Beaver Creek Road, 1.6 miles upstream (east) of Beaver Falls. Keep on Beaver Falls Road for 1.6 miles and pull off to the left at a gap in a white guard rail. This is the access point for 11-foot Upper Beaver Falls, which can be seen from the road. To continue to the Beaver Falls Trailhead, drive another 1.9 miles and turn left into a large gravel pullout.
