The Quartermaster Shield is Buff the primary color traditionally associated with the Quartermaster Corps. The dark Blue chevron represents valor and alludes to the fact that the Quartermaster Corps is the foundation of logistics. The Spartan Helmet and short sword symbolize the Corps’ warrior spirit–warriors supporting warriors.

It is in the public domain but its use is restricted by Title 18, United States Code, Section 704 [1] and the Code of Federal Regulations (32 CFR, Part 507) [2], [3].
This design is now called the “Regimental Eagle” and was incorporated in 1986 into the Quartermaster Regimental Crest and in 1994 into the Coat of Arms of the Quartermaster Regiment that are displayed on the Quartermaster Regimental flag.
