4 Απρ 2009 · Yes, you can install cheap fuel hose, and it WILL work... but the question is, 'for how long?'. Transmission cooler hose is noticeably thicker and stiffer, and you can safely assume that the type of rubber used will work long-term with atf. I don't know if that's a safe assumption with fuel hose.
2 Ιαν 2017 · My plan is to replace the 3/8 copper supply line and install a Tiger Loop Ultra oil de-aerator with spin on 10 micron filter. I am going to still use the General 1A25A felt filter off the tank to supply the Tiger Loop as a pre-filter.
5 Ιαν 2013 · The local O'Reillys and NAPA do not carry fuel line hose in 1/2" ID, they only have heater hose. The stock hoses look like there are two layers. One is a thin reinforcement hose inside the regular larger hose.
When it comes to working on your car, understanding fuel line and hose sizes is crucial. Choosing the wrong size can lead to leaks, fuel pressure issues, and potential safety hazards. The most common sizes for fuel lines and hoses are measured in either ID (inside diameter) or OD (outside diameter).
23 Νοε 2022 · Fuel line is a petroleum-resistant nitrile tube with a covering that resists weathering, ozone and heat and can be used for ethanol-laced fuels and diesel fuel. It should, however, not be used on coolant systems, oil systems or fuel-injection systems that produce pressures higher than 50 psi.
You need a firomatic right after the fuel line enters the building, by code. 1/2" & 3/8" will gel at the same time. If it's that cold, or you're using a heavy bio mix, treat the oil for moisture and lowering it's pour point (which you should do anyways).
15 Νοε 2020 · I may be overthinking this (as usual), but I need to replace the fuel lines on a Briggs 8HP engine, 192432-0189-01 970515YD (installed on my Trac Vac 880). There are some pretty tight turns, and these lines run pretty close to the muffler, so I'd prefer NOT to add fittings (potential leak points).
