It's 5 minutes from the airport. $9pp for taxi last month. 35 minute taxi ride $20 plus tax pp (adult) for ferry ride. We arrived at 2:40 and easily caught the 3:30 ferry. Red Hook is about a 35 minute ride, depending on drop offs along the way. The longest taxi ride we've had was 50 minutes.
There are two ferry routes that connect St. Thomas and St. John. The most frequent is Red Hook, St. Thomas to Cruz Bay, St. John. The second is Crown Bay, St. Thomas to Cruz Bay, St. John. Crown Bay is about 1.5 miles from the airport. Red Hook is about 10 miles from the airport. Crown Bay-St. John ferry has a limited schedule.
