24 Οκτ 2024 · Getting a USID. You can apply for or renew a USID through the ID Card Office Online (https://idco.dmdc.osd.mil/idco/). This process allows you to upload needed documents like marriage certificates (for spouses), birth certificates (for children), or proof of eligibility if a surviving spouse.
The VIC provides a portable and secure alternative proof of service for Veterans with honorable service who didn't retire from military.
To request a VIC, Veterans must visit vets.gov, click on “Sign In” in the top right hand corner and establish an ID.me account. Once the Veteran verifies their identity they may request to “Apply for the Veteran ID Card.” Watch the video above for more information.
