This collection of information is intended to assist the SSVF Program Office to determine eligibility to receive supportive services grants under the SSVF Program and to rate and rank these applications.
10 Νοε 2021 · Through the SSVF Program, VA awards supportive services grants to private non-profit organizations or consumer cooperatives to provide or coordinate the provision of supportive services to very low-income veteran families who are residing in permanent housing and are at risk of becoming homeless.
The current or most recent VA Rating Decision issued by the Veterans Service Center of jurisdiction establishes the veteran’s or servicemember’s basic eligibility for a Specially Adapted Housing Grant.
An eligible veteran or servicemember may receive a VA grant of not more than 50 percent of the cost of a specially adapted house, up to the aggregate maximum amount allowable by law. The current maximum grant amount allowable at the time of this publication is $63,780.

The VA provides case management services for participating veterans through its health care system at VA medical centers (VAMCs) and community-based outreach clinics (CBOCs) across the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and Guam.
